My Marriage Is God’s Covenant And My Testimony!
1 Peter 3:3
Wives, in the same way submit yourselves to your own husbands so that, if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over without words by the behavior of their wives.
Sometimes us women will need to go first — that’s why God instructed us wives in 1 Peter 3:3 that we were to be the example of His word to our husbands through submitting. God didn’t just give us this verse but for us women to stand on this verse and put it into action. It is a POWERFUL VERSE! It is God letting us know as women how powerful it is to be submissive to your husband no matter how you feel, no matter what you’re facing, no matter what happened in the past — we have to make a choice and choose God, choose our husbands, choose our covenant and know who the REAL ENEMY IS!!
Ephesians 6:12
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
The problem in today’s society is the enemy has told every woman that the man is supposed to be the head and in order “right away” — as if women were not supposed to have an order that we weren’t supposed to maintain? Did you know that God made the man a woman because she is the helper? Because He saw that a man needed a woman to help him in this life? Do you think that us women sitting back nagging, controlling, and criticizing is helping our husbands? Or is that actually hurting them more?
We live in a generation that is “women empowering,” but the reality is that us women are hurt, broken, bruised, and tired of leading! That’s because we were never meant to be in the man’s position! Look what happened when Eve tried to lead her husband — it doesn’t work because IT’S OUT OF ORDER!
Genesis 2:18
“The LORD God said, ‘It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.’”
I’m here to tell you the good news of Jesus and what He has done for my marriage — and He can do the same for you! I used to struggle in all these areas as a wife myself! You're not alone — your marriage isn’t broken, it’s just out of order! It’s time to pick up your Bible girl, start going to war over your marriage, household and children. This is your calling, this is your order and oh man God made you so powerful!
It took a process to get where I am today, it took a revelation to get where I am today, it took a vision to get where I am today. It took breaking me down to get where I am today, it took learning true humility and humbleness to get where I am today. This will not happen overnight — but it will be a speedy transformation when you stand on the word of God and trust with all your heart!
Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
This is just a little snip of my testimony — during this process and transformation my husband has been walking through healing with the Lord, getting visions, hearing the Father’s voice, true convictions, true encounters and changing tremendously. I now have a husband that is the head of our home, a husband that is praying over me and breaking things off of me with one touch or word! Through my submissiveness my husband has gained freedom and finding his identity with our Lord and Savior.
So, I encourage every woman to stay fighting the good fight!
You are your husband’s HELPER!! YOU ARE HIS WARRIOR!! YOU HAVE AUTHORITY! YOU HOLD THE KEY TO HIS FREEDOM!! You just need to get in order and allow the Lord to use you so that your husband can get the freedom and encounter that both of your hearts desire — and during this process best believe God is going to be healing you!! Words cannot describe this beautiful process! GOD’S WAYS ARE HIGHER AND BETTER!
Isaiah 55:8-9
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
The vision the Lord gave me when walking me through this process was: as I was kneeling and submitting to my husband I looked up at my husband and saw a man standing behind him and it was God. As I looked back down, I saw a power that was surrounding me. I saw that there was power in a submissive wife! So, know that as you humble and submit yourself to your husband, you are also submitting to your Father!
This is love. This is order.
