True Surrender Looks Like…
Have you ever carried so many burdens that your mind feels like its running ramped? Or you are emotionally overwhelmed and you can not seem to catch a break? Its been one hit after another? The emotions are intensified that you just feel physically exhausted and drained no matter how much sleep you have slept or how many prayers you prayed nothing will release? Well i am here to tell you that you may be fighting battles WITHOUT the Lord, you may have forgot to surrender all your pain and even your plans to the Lord. You may have forgotten to SURENDER! Psalm 37:5 Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him, and he will act.
We come from a broken world where we are “independent” and can do all things “ourself” however the world goes against everything God has said and made us to be! When you are made new and give your life to Christ you are not made to carry burdens alone, you are not able to sustain trails and tribulations alone. BUT THE GOOD NEWS IS YOU CAN DO ALL THING THROUGH JESUS CHRIST! Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
When coming to Christ, the Lord has to teach us to surrender. He has to teach us that his ways are higher then our ways, and his thoughts are NOT our thoughts and once we can wrap our minds around knowing this and that God is with us and the battle’s belong to him. Then we will know how to surrender. Then you will feel and experience the goodness of the Lord and what he truly did for you on the cross! Isaiah 55:8-9 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.
The problem is we do not understand how to surrender. We are trying to understand a God that holds ALL AUTHORITY and POWER. The bible tells us POWER is on our tongue. We can speak life and death over ourselves, our life’s, our satiations and others! The Lord has also given us The Holy Spirit as our helper! HE HAS GIVEN US POWER WITH The Holy Spirit and We have been told that a mustard seed of faith can move a mountain! Have you been able to grab ahold of this meat yet!? John 14:16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever…
🔥 We have authority, but not autonomy.
🔥 We have power, but it flows through surrender.
🔥 We have dominion, but it operates under submission.
Hold on so your saying if i have faith and believe with all my heart that God is going to take my burdens and my pain? If i open my mouth and say “ Lord i surrender everything to you” and believe with all my heart that I will be set free from all this confusion, overwhelming emotions, exhaustion and deep pains! YES this is exactly what i am saying! See we are trying to understand the power of God and God instructed us to stand on our faith, take authority and open our mouth! Matthew 11:28-30 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
You no longer have do this life alone, you no longer have to fight these exhausting battles alone! The battle is NOT YOURS!! Call on the name of JESUS and allow him to carry these burdens! THIS IS PART OF THE CHILDRENS BREAD! Jesus died for ALL OF YOU, for all of your troubles, and pain. 1 John 3:16 This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.
I am able to help guide you because i have been right where you are, i have been stuck and didn’t know how to surrender i was saying it but the problem was that i didn’t believe with all my heart that he would take all my pain and to be honest the pain felt so familiar and comforting that it was hard to let go! Isn’t that crazy? That we actually hold onto pain? That we actually find comfort in rejection, fear, shame, control, worry and the list goes on! BUT WOW! THE DEVIL IS A LAIR!
LET GO AND LET GOD!
The Lord wants you to surrender all control and all areas of your life that is causing to you to experience pain, overwhelming emotions and hardship. Choose to surrender your marriage, your job, your friendships, your trauma, your pain, your life, your ways, your thoughts and your control. Whatever it is that you are holding onto this moment let go and give it to God and also know you are not alone and lock arms with other believers during these hard times!

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.
Father God, I thank you for Jesus Christ who died on the cross for my sins, i thank you father that you love me and you except me just the way i am, i do not have to be perfect to come to you all i have to do is believe with all my heart and surrender my life, my plans, my trauma, my pain, my marriage, my finance and my children over to you and you will make my paths straight, and your will, will be done for my life. Lord i give you every area of my life, you said not to lean on my own understanding but to have faith i come to you with my heart open and my mustard seed of faith. Father your ways are not my ways and your thoughts are not my thoughts but your will for my life is perfect, you give me a life full of hope and a future. Lord i surrender and let go, i release all control over to you now. Help me father to gain wisdom for when these trail and tribulations come i can rejoice knowing that the victory is already mine and the battle is already won! Father God all things are possible with you and not my own ways BUT YOUR WAYS, Lord i repent for taking control and ask you to take every part of my life. Father today I choose your ways, today i choose to trust you and Today i choose to let go and let you invade every area of my life. Father have your way in the mighty name of Jesus!
